0-3 Montessori Children’s House

The first three years of your child’s life are foundational in setting your child up for a lifetime of success. From developing skills in movement, communication, and independence, we offer the perfect environment rooted in Montessori principles for your child to grow into their greatest potential. At American Montessori it is an honor to be a part of your family’s story and we strive to provide a calm and loving environment where your infant and toddler is cared for with respect and individualized childcare. We strongly believe that each child deserves the feeling of a home away from home where all their needs are met and genuinely loved each and every day.

Creativity & Imagination

Babies and Toddlers are naturally curious and we work to encourage this trait within them. With art activities, music, dramatic play, outdoor play, children are free to create and express themselves in our classroom environments. From finger painting to dancing along in group music time, your child will have many opportunities to discover what creative and imaginative activities they love.

Gross & Fine Motor Skills

From crawling to walking and dancing your child will be encouraged to discover the capabilities of their bodies to move to see the world around them. Whether your child likes to jump, dance, wiggle, or run, we offer beautiful classrooms and outdoor spaces designed to support their need to move safely, while also developing a sense of confidence and coordination in their movements. We also help your baby learn to be more aware of the wonder of their own hands. We guide your child through different manipulatives to gain muscle strength in their hands for fine motor movements.

Cognition & Senses

Numerous elements in our classrooms offer different textures and sensory experiences so that your child can have a full tactile experience. As your child begins to make sense of the world around them we support their abilities and brain health by offering opportunities for independence and growth.

Emotional Intelligence

Our infant and toddler spaces are the perfect place for your child to learn skills in sharing and recognize the needs of themselves and others. Learning how to treat others with kindness and respect begins in our early childhood classrooms as we support everyday interactions with teachers and friends. Over time your child will develop confidence in themselves and ability to start to navigate their emotions.

Language & Communication

Language and communication is so important in your young child’s development. Our teachers talk, sing, read, and listen to your child to support their vocabulary and ability to express their needs and connect with others. We complement your child’s language development through lessons in English, Spanish, and Sign Language which will promote their abilities to communicate with others.
